At that time, it was possible to switch between low and high octave, which is not realistic because you can't do that on a real guqin.. Now it's not possible do that in the current version... However I'm thinking about updating the app with the option to apply a capo on the soundboard much like a guitar capo... So if you apply it on the 7th dot position, you will be able to go up one octave. Please stay tuned for the next update... more sound sets.... Too bad I cannot afford an ipad . Very thoughtful of Steve Jobs to include human interface that as you noted , tablet / Android does not . Maybe for historical reasons they left it out . One suggestion , actually two , maybe have a control for the "pluckiness" of the sounds , this might be considered to "deaden" the sound or to make it more of a percussion sound or effect . Also for seniors or Rheumatoid Arthritis persons (my sister is one ) choice to separate the strings a little more , and allow for "errors" in finger strokes (a smarter Quqin) . wow . I want to keep the price low for the current version mainly for iPhone users and iPad users who just want to try out the guqin app. For iPad users who really love the current guqin app and want more, they will be able to download the pro version with a lot of extra pro features like MIDI and Emulating other string instruments.
